So for some reason I am unaware of Automobile magazine sent me an "exclusive" offer, that does actually seem like a good deal: $6/ year up to 3 years. The problem is that I've never read a single issue and was wondering if it's any good. My subscriptions to MT and RT are expiring or expired so I would be open to a new one if its good. Thanks Oppo, you rock! Have some old school for your time..

I used to enjoy Automobile a lot even though the only automotive subscription I've ever officially had was when I was about five years old with Motor Trend back in 2005. What I liked particularly about Automobile was the people who wrote it between 2005 and 2012, characters such as Ezra Dyer and Jean Jennings who brought totally different viewpoints on automotive culture and cars in general. I don't know how it is today after both have left, but I think it would be an interesting experiment that would definitely be worth it at that price.

Modern car magazines in the US - Automobile, Road & Track, Car & Driver, Motor Trend - tend to be 30-40 pages of ads and 10-15 pages of actual content, which is often duplicated on their websites, and rarely contain anything groundbreaking compared to what's available online. That said, they don't require an internet connection, clicking links, no pop-up ads, and the photography can be quite nice and include some shots and sidebars that may not be included online. But you could also stash that $18 away for the next 3 years in an investment, ir a savings account for a newer device (phone, tablet, PC) to browse the web faster and in greater clarity.

It's not bad, good price either way though.

I'm sure you could find a much worse way to spend a measly $18 over the course of three years.

I used to have a subscription to Mopar Muscle but with the internet there is really no need. I can get all the info I want online without having to flip through endless pages of advertisements.
